The CAAC program for assessing and accrediting certification/registration bodies is based on relevant guidelines established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electro Technical Commission (IEC). CAAC monitors activities of ISO and IAF (International Accreditation Forum) to ensure consistency in the process and ensures the application of internationally established guidelines by the respective bodies.
